What is Knisper?

Knisper is the software engine that modifies voice audio on any platform or device. Knisper modulates sound to meet each individual's personal hearing needs, using the same parameters audiologists use to improve hearing. That way people don't have to use a hearing aid when watching television, listening to radio or using any other device. Knisper is very easy to use and it improves digital accessibility.

Our Mission

Our mission is to improve the lives of the 1.5 Billion people worldwide that experience hearing loss.

Hearing loss distorts people's ability to communicate and therefore to connect with their family, friends and coworkers. It can result in social exclusion, miscommunication, cognitive health issues and lower productivity. Our goal is to prevent this from happening, by helping people who are experiencing hearing loss to continue to be able to communicate with others and in doing so improve the quality of their lives dramatically.

Digital Accessibility

In 2050 the amount of people requiring some sort of hearing aid will have almost doubled.

"Currently more than 1.5 Billion people (nearly 20% of the global population) live with hearing loss, going up to an estimated 3 Billion people in 2050. Due to practical, stigmatic and financial barriers less than 5% of those who benefit from a hearing aid are using one. Unaddressed hearing loss has far reaching functional, social and emotional impact and poses an annual global cost of US$ 750 Billion."

In 1990 the Americans with Disabilities Act was introduced in the United States, followed in 2006 by the adoption by the United Nations of the Convention of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. More recently the European Commission presented the Strategy for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities 2021-2030. All three are major steps in battling discrimination of people with disabilities, underlining the importance of inclusion and an important call to arms to improve accessibility for people.

ESG, DE&I and SDG

Awareness of the potential negative impact of hearing loss on people's lives is steadily growing. Helped by their Environmental, Social and Governance policies, as well as their Diversity, Equality & Inclusion policies, organizations and companies worldwide increasingly show responsibility for helping their employees, customers and partners who experience hearing loss by offering them solutions that contribute to a healthy, safe and productive (work) environment. Knisper helps achieve this.

Knisper also contributes to reaching two of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals: Good Health and Well-Being and Reducing Inequalities. With large parts of the world population not having access to solutions for their hearing loss, Knisper can help make an important leap forward.

Team

AUDUS Technologies was founded by Marciano Ferrier, a former ENT doctor from The Netherlands. Singularly dedicated to serving hearing-impaired patients, he sought the best technology to help them. Increasingly frustrated by the lack of innovation within the hearing aid industry, he took matters into his own hands. In collaboration with likeminded ENT doctors, audiologists, and helped by seasoned tech entrepreneurs, Ferrier patented this groundbreaking technology that makes it possible to modify the sound of any device.
